| Here's the kind of picture that you might get from the SMARTSCOPE.
Since M42, the Great Orion Nebula, is the brightest nebula visible from Kanata, this kind of
picture would only take a few seconds of exposure time.
The digital camera we would use on the SMARTSCOPE would be very
sensitive to the level of light, but would not detect colours. To make a colour picture
you would have to take three separate pictures using red, green and blue filters, and
then combine them to make a colour picture. The views below show how this might work. |
