December Constellation: Auriga

Old star charts show this constellation as a man carrying a goat (Capella) and driving a chariot.

There are no stories associated with it, so maybe it was Santa and his reindeer.

However, it looks like a lopsided house or a pentagon.

The brightest star, Capella, is yellow and is like an older version of our Sun.

Look for it high in the northeast.

Three faint fuzzies (open star clusters) can be seen with binoculars
within the constellation Auriga.

They are M36 (right of center), M37 (lower left) and M38 (upper right).
